Mountain View Sports and Racquet

The Mountain View Sports and Racquet organization is made up of two parts – the Association and the Club. If you are one of our existing tennis members, you may have noticed our names MVSRC and MVSRA used interchangeably. So what’s the difference?

The Club

The Mountain View Sports and Racquet Club is an IRS certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The primary goal of the Club is to raise funds especially for under resourced areas and families with low to moderate income. All monies raised by the Club are then given to the Association. Since we are a charitable organization, all contributions and donations to the club are tax-deductible.

The Association

The Mountain View Sports and Racquet Association is the 501(c)(7) section of the organization whose purpose is to handle the day to day activities of running the club. Such operations include hosting tournaments, interclub matches, junior development programs, and membership enrollment and activities. In short, the goals of the MVSRA and MVSRC are one and the same - to promote programs and activities in our community by making tennis accessible for all.

Our Mission

  • To manage the organization on a non-profit basis so that all revenues received will be for the benefit of MVSRA and the general public and to maintain a reasonably affordable access to the sport of tennis
  • Foster the physical and social development of youth through tennis training and competition
  • Promote the health and social benefits of tennis as a lifetime sport.
